It is very important to start by commenting on the paths we have chosen for our projects, the care taken in the manufacturing processes, in the necessary documentation, and also in the choices of components and suppliers.
Our products are created, developed, tested, and made viable as products inside our factory. It was from here, for example, that high-power AM transmitters were developed, as well as the new FM line, digital shortwave transmitters with DRM technology, and transmitters for maritime navigation that are operating in European and Asian countries.
In the creation stage we worry about the technology that will be used, the market needs, product finish, sustainable energy, and also about other details such as weight, logistics, costs, packaging and noise, etc. ruído,ruido, etc.
During development, factors such as the use of components that are new to the market, therefore not having the immediate possibility of being discontinued, are the first choice.
The concept of robustness guides us as a fundamental factor in the project, because this is the factor that will guarantee safe operation to the customer. In this case the MTTF (Mean Time To Failure), the MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure) and the SOA (Safe Operate Area) region of the components are taken into consideration, where their useful life is calculated with a good safety margin.
During the prototyping process, the boards are tested and stressed well above the operating conditions and temperature that they will work with when they become marketable products. For the validation of the development, we count on adequate instruments and a laboratory with tracked and certified instruments.
For the viability as marketable products, there are some determining factors for the affirmation of the product in the market, perhaps this is the most neuralgic part of the process. This is the time to ensure good and reliable component suppliers, as well as the organization of the documentation and testing procedures in the factory.
As products, we do the screening and tracking procedures of the purchased components, we test each board after it is assembled and finally, before the equipment is delivered to the customer, there is another battery of tests with the closed equipment in usable condition.
This is how BT has stood out since 1998, developing and producing 100% of its transmitters in Brazil, with full control of the project and manufacturing.
